  • A detailed editorial letter that covers:
    • Structural and thematic concerns, with specific recommendations for revision.
    • Pacing, argument flow, and narrative or argumentative arc.
    • Characterization, voice consistency, and point-of-view choices.
    • Audience and marketability considerations. Does your manuscript speak to the audience you’re aiming for? Does it have enough content? Is it relatable?

    • Attention paid to style, tone, word choice, and sentence structure.
    • Rewritten, rearranged, or altered text presented as suggestions to the author.

    • Edited grammar and punctuation.
    • Corrected spelling.
    • Tense corrections and point of view. Did you slip from first person to third? Do you sound sanctimonious when you intend to sound sincere? Did your omniscient narrator miss something? Does your first person narrator know something they shouldn’t? Would the story be more engaging if it were written in the third person? Would your content feel more compelling from a different angle?
  • A comprehensive editorial summary. This multi-page document deeply details the top three elements that were loved and the top three elements that could be strengthened, along with any other significant lists, rankings, and commentary that might be helpful to the author.
  • Four to five-week turnaround time.

I’ve spent the past sixteen years helping writers and leaders shape their words into work they’re proud of. That’s included editing manuscripts across nearly every genre—fiction and nonfiction, bestselling and debut—and ghostwriting for C-suite clients in fintech, robotics, law, pharmaceuticals, and nonprofit leadership. As an impartial reader, I evaluate your manuscript’s structure, characterization, descriptions, grammar, phrasing, and more, and I provide targeted feedback on whatever’s keeping you up at night: plot holes, compelling openings, orphan details, pacing, voice, marketability.

I previously served as Editorial Director at Zen Media, one of the leading B2B marketing and PR agencies in the United States, where I managed ghostwriting and editorial strategy. Currently, I lead strategic communications at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, Nevada’s only nonprofit childhood cancer and rare disease treatment center. I develop and manage all executive and physician thought leadership strategy, including long-form and short-form ghostwriting.

Across my career, my ghostwriting on behalf of founders, executives, and thought leaders has been published in Forbes, Inc., Law360, HR Director, Fast Company, Martech, Hackernoon, and more, and my editorial work has contributed to many Amazon and Wall Street Journal bestsellers.

But credentials only tell you so much. Here’s what I actually want you to know:

I am your book’s biggest fan. I’ve never come across a “bad” manuscript—I don’t believe they exist. I approach every project with an interested, open mind, and I’m so obsessive this is basically the only industry for me. Paying deep attention to detail is one of the primary reasons I love this work: I monitor your voice, tone, pacing, sentence structure, foreshadowing, the number of times you use the same description, and so much more. You probably don’t care about dangling participles, but I do. I care so much. Let me worry about finding and fixing issues—you have a story to tell.

Let’s take your manuscript to the next level. I’m ready when you are.
